U21 GFC Training Academy Team (Boys and Girls)

Program Outline:

We will be offering a full time program over the course of 10 months. BCSPL, Metro and Division 1 players are fully welcome. We will be forming a team of 20 players born from 2008-2004 born.

Purpose:
The objective of this program is to prepare players to compete at the varsity level. We want players to have a smooth transition from youth to adult competition by adapting to the speed of play, intensity and physicality. All players will receive full assistance in the University/College recruiting process.

League:
We will be competing in the U21 division of the Vancouver Metro Soccer League. There is only 1 tier in this league. Games will run from September 2023 - April 2024.

Game Times:
Home field will be at Newton Athletic Park: 7395 128th Street, Surrey. Game times will differ depending on the away team.

Tournaments:
All showcase tournaments will be discussed. This will be at an additional cost, therefore, team fundraising will take place throughout the season.

Highlight Reel:
All games will be recorded with the Veo Sports Camera. We will be working closely with all players in creating a highlight reel.

Small Group Training:
All players will receive discounted rates in GFC Training small group sessions.

Season Plan:
Preseason: August 1 - August 31
- Training 4x week with friendly fixtures

In Season: September 1 - May 31 (depending on the Provincial Cup run)
- Training 3x on field/week + 2 Monthly Indoor/Video Reflection Sessions

Post Season: Tournament (May/June)
